Millenovecentonovantadieci
  Demo live

This new CD offers a clearer zooming on the best aspects of the Marenostrum project.

"Millenovecentonovantadieci is an important step in the evolution of the project, highlighted by new arrangements and a better recording quality. It is characterised by:

  • the important contribution of actress Aurora Simeone, who reads an extract of the historical events at the grounds of  "U Cheuttu e u crüu".

  • the intervention of saxophonist Marcello Carro, who enriches the songs with suggestive melodic embroidery.

  • the insertion in Gh’ea n’erbu of a chorus going back to the traditional “Tabarkin” songs, E disette de zenà and Girumetta.

The CD was presented in Siena on 19/4/00, at the Libreria Novecento, and in Cagliari, at the University Theatre Nanny Loy, on 28/6/00. The presentation was cured by journalists Giacomo Serreli (Videolina, Cous cous), Walter Porcedda (La Nuova Sardegna, Musica di Repubblica), Susanna Lavazza (Carnet)and by Condaghes’ editor, Giovanni Manca.

The Songs:

  1. U cheuttu e u crüu
  2. Briciole di terra
